Bai Chi : Is that the escalator?
Me :Uh well, I'm pretty sure it looks like one?
Bai Chi : Huh? Whaa wait SHMANNNNN!  IM ASKING WHETHER IT'S THE ESCALATOR. Not whether it IS an escalator. I'm not stupid!
